What is Stealing???

We all think we know the answer but this topic is more complex then it seems. Sometimes what you think is not true for example is taking something you found stealing?
Sometimes you are accused of stealing when you just took something you found and you can't find the owner of it. Is this politically correct? And are you stealing? The year 8 English class students voice their opinions:

Karam:
Definition of stealing:
(1) A person who fraudulently takes anything capable of being stolen, or fraudulently changes to his own use or to the use of any other person any property, is said to steal that thing or that property. So I think that the act of stealing is not complete until the person taking or converting the 'thing actually moves it or otherwise actually deals with it by some physical action.
Stealing is a bad thing to do but if you steal for a good cause (and of course return the thing back) then nothing is wrong with it.

Vitor:
Stealing is when you take something from someone without asking for it, and not giving it back soon. If you do it by accident, I would not consider it stealing. I mean, if you find it and keep it for yourself because you can't find the owner of the object, then it is OK. Also, taking an item from a store without paying for it is stealing, and even if you give it back, it is still considered stealing, and you can go to jail for being a naughty boy.

Joanna:
Stealing is when you take something without asking the person and without the person knowing. I would not steal I would rather borrow. Some sarcastic people would say stealing is borrowing but it really isn't. If you get caught stealing anything such as from a shop or a house, the police could get you and lock you up. If you stole something by accident which does not really happen, I would still call it stealing.

Nichil
I think stealing is when you take something from some one, on purpose and knowing who the owner is. But if you find something and you don't know whose it is and you take it, i wouldn't consider this stealing, I think this is what you call finding something. It is politically incorrect for accusing a person of stealing when he finds something.
